UnitedHealthcare does not currently reimburse for telehealth sessions conducted while a client is at home. We encourage clients to contact their insurance providers to advocate for policy updates, including the inclusion of telehealth services in home settings.
At this time, Medicare, which is run by the national government, does not have permanent legislation allowing telehealth therapy services. Coverage is currently temporary and continues to be discussed. We will review this further if permanent legislation occurs.
